Joining Hands Against Autism 2020!

This event is a one mile awareness walk to spread knowledge about autism and to promote acceptance in the Lake Area. We are also promoting the services and resources offered by the three sponsoring organizations for the autism community.
Our organization, Autism Services of Southwest Louisiana (ASSL), is a non-profit agency, founded on the belief that each person with autism deserves a living environment specifically tailored with their disability in mind. ASSL provides unique housing and supports for adults on the autism spectrum in order to help them achieve independence with the assistance of staff specially trained to work with them. One-on-one assistance and the focus on achievement of individual goals and growth distinguishes the Autism Services model from “group” homes and institutional, residential settings that encompass all disabilities.
